Presenting the association

Created in 1996, the association Pierre de Bourgogne aims to promote Burgundy stone principally through communication and counselling. It unites thirty some members representing a wide range of enterprises in Burgundy: artisans, stone cutters, sculptors, quarrymen (extraction of stone), processors (cutting and finishing by machine) layers and roofers. The association serves as a link between these different companies to initiate exchanges within the stone industry and to federate common interests for effective representation.

The association collaborates with organizations whose purpose is to train future professionals for stone works: the Lycée des Marc d'Or in Dijon, the Maison Familiale et Rurale of Baigneux les Juifs, the Compagnons du Devoir.

Strongly present on the international scene, Burgundy stone has been used to grace numerous significant structures worldwide, for example the TAIPEI FINANCIAL CENTER in TAIWAN, several skyscrapers in CHICAGO, the Palm Springs Airport in LOS ANGELES, buildings in JAPAN, in the UNITED EMIRATES...

Associated members accompany Pierre de Bourgogne each year to the major international trade fairs: Marmomacc Expo of Verona (Italy), Big 5 Dubaï, the Salon du Patrimoine of Paris, and other trade fairs in France.

The interventions and actions of the association are supported by:

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dijon, which provides office space and personnel management

The Regional Council of Burgundy

The DRIRE (Regional Direction of Industry, Research and Environment) of Burgundy

Françoise NAUDET

Françoise NAUDET

Today the association is largely piloted and managed by Françoise NAUDET, with the assistance of Sara MARZOTTO.

Françoise NAUDET, bilingual in French and English, specializes in international marketing and communications. A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce of Paris, she acquired experience worldwide as a "marketer" for leading manufacturers of sports goods (Skis Dynastar, Salomon group). In the early 90s, she spent 2 years as an environmental advisor and was spotted by Yvon Chouinard, CEO of Patagonia, who sent her to California where she directed a marketing team for 3 years. After returning to France, she settled in Burgundy where, in 2004, she was asked to apply her international marketing skills to the domain of Burgundy limestone.

Devoted wife and mother of 2 children, she divides her time between Dijon and Leuglay in the northern part of the Côte-d'Or.
